Vanderpump Rules fans were given a surprising glimpse into Kristen Doute's past Bravo salary during a recent episode of her podcast. Kristen revealed that during her second to last season on the show, she had been demoted from an episodic paid cast member to a day rate. She shared an incident where Tom Sandoval, her former partner, received his full episodic payment for a brief appearance, while she received a significantly smaller paycheck.
Despite not expecting it, Kristen received a generous sum from Sandoval via PayPal, as he felt it was unfair that she was paid less despite carrying the episode. Kristen, an original cast member of Vanderpump Rules, was fired alongside Stassi due to past racially insensitive behavior towards a former co-star.
Last year, Kristen disclosed that the original cast members didn't earn much before the show's success, with only $5,000 in their bank accounts initially. Kristen recently made a cameo in season 10 of VPR and is set to return to Bravo with the upcoming spinoff, The Valley.
The Valley, an eight-episode series, will follow a group of friends transitioning from their wild younger years to parenthood and adult life in California's San Fernando Valley. Former VPR stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright will feature in the show, along with other cast members like Danny Booko, Nia Booko, Jesse Lally, Michelle Lall, Jason Caperna, Janet Caperna, Jasmine Goode, and Zack Wickham.
