Kristen Bell shared her impressive 'Wicked' Christmas tree – and it comes decorated with the famous ruby red slippers and yellow brick road

Kristen Bell.

Wicked has been the talk of Tinseltown since the movie's theatrical release was slated, and this zeitgeisty trend has crept its way from the red carpet to fashion, and now into our homes, too.

The film’s stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande are partly to thank. The duo have embraced Elphaba’s emerald green and Glinda’s pastel pink since the pair hosted the 2024 Academy Awards in March. 'I truly hope you are all ready for this press tour,' Erivo posted to her Instagram story at the time, with a photo of herself and Grande in custom Louis Vuitton green and pink sparkly jerseys.

The year-long build-up has bewitched audiences, generating major media interest – it was almost impossible to escape. But if you thought your Christmas decor ideas were safe, think again.

Kristen Bell's Christmas tree – swathed in pink and green – is the perfect example of how to turn your home into a tastefully Wicked movie set. Last year, American actress Kristen Bell and her husband, Dax Shepard decorated for Christmas with a Grinch-inspired aesthetic, so they are no strangers to following current interior design trends.

It comes as no surprise that Bell chose to go with a Wizard of Oz theme for 2024. The actress previously revealed that she was a fan of Wicked, so much so that she even took her choir to see it.

In the photo, which the actress shared on her Instagram, her Christmas tree appeared to have a yellow brick roadway leading up to it with a pair of legs (signifying the Wicked Witch of the East) peaking out beneath the tree.

The legs with the statement red ruby slippers from the 1939 Judy Garland movie are an iconic scene, while the tree features pretty pink and red baubles with a beautifully placed pink ribbon – a popular Christmas tree trend for 2024.

Sitting pretty on top are two unique Christmas tree toppers featuring Wicked’s lead characters, Glinda and Elphaba. The entire spectacle is a wonderful homage to everyone's favorite witches.
