Kris Boyd trolls Charlie Adam for his infamous Dundee dive with 'get well' wind-up live on air

Charlie Adam was on the receiving end of an on-air wind-up from former team-mate Kris Boyd after his dive against St Johnstone went viral.

And the Rangers hero flashed a trademark grin as he hoped Adam had recovered from his "horrendous tackle" while playing for Dundee at the weekend.

Adam's flop prompted a response from Match of the Day host Gary Lineker, who branded it "sensational".

And the hilarity was underlined as it came just weeks after Adam blasted Aberdeen's Lewis Ferguson for going down too easily, adding "it's a man's sport".

Meanwhile, Boyd spoke to Sky Sports at his charity's golf day at Trump Turnberry and previewed a massive week for Rangers.

Thursday's Europa League semi-final clash with RB Leipzig will be a massive occasion.

And as if that wasn't enough there's one more Old Firm derby against Celtic to come on Sunday, a game that is effectively the Ibrox side's last stand in the title race.

But Boyd had someone on his mind as he grinned to the camera and said: "I must say one other thing...

"I just hope that my ex-teammate Charlie Adam is OK after that horrendous tackle.

"So Charlie, get well!"
