Kris Boyd says Barry Ferguson should give Rangers' next manager a helping hand.
The 47-year-old was appointed interim head coach at Ibrox almost three weeks ago following Philippe Clement's somewhat inevitable dismissal.
It has been a topsy-turvy start to life in the dugout for Ferguson, who saw his team go 2-0 down less than 15 minutes into his first game in charge.
Rangers rallied that night at Rugby Park to win 4-2, although they lost 2-1 at home to Motherwell only a few days later.

They have now progressed to the quarter-finals of the Europa League following a penalty shootout victory over Fenerbahce.
Ferguson is due to be in charge until the season's end, although it remains to be seen who will come in to take the job permanently come the summer.
Boyd, who made 221 Rangers appearances across two separate spells at the club, thinks the caretaker boss should have a say in the ongoings.
He said [The Warm-Up]: "If a new manager is to come in, you'd like to think Barry, because of his love for the club, what he's done in the past, and what he will want to happen going forward, he'll have seen enough to help the next manager out if he doesn't get the job long term
"There were obviously problems with Philippe Clement. The same problems are still there as such because you can't chang it overnight. But you'd like to think if Barry doesn't get the job, for the sake of the football club, he'd like to help the next manager out."
Rangers travel to face Celtic at Parkhead this weekend.
They beat their city rivals 3-0 last time out in the fixture. It will be Ferguson's first taste of it from the dugout.
