Kris Boyd says that it's hard for Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst to get himself out of the predicament he is in.
The Dutchman is under serious pressure at Ibrox after a shock 2-1 defeat to St Johnstone means they now sit seven points off Celtic in the Premiership title race. They have had to deal with a number of injuries to key players which has played its part but Boyd forecasts that more money will need to be spent to fix the problems this underperforming squad.
But whether Van Bronckhorst gets to do that is another question, as a number of Rangers fans have turned on him. The former Light Blues striker told Sky Sports: "It has been the story of the season. Tom Lawrence has been out, Roofe has been out for a long time and so has Hagi. So we will hear about injuries, and yeah there has been a lot of them.

"But they are all defensive, I don't think any of them coming back will help out the forward line. Lawrence is a miss, but there has been a lack of creativity and it has not worked out.
"The money that was spent at the summer transfer window, a lot of the signings haven't worked - there is going to be a big overhaul needed.
"The club always finds a way if they want to change the manager. The problem that Gio finds himself in right now is that even when Rangers were winning, or scraping by that everything was still a grind.
"There is frustration from the fans. They've dropped points at home to Livingston and they were booed off the pitch. The frustration is already there off the back of the European results. I don't know how much longer he can go on. Once the fans start voicing their opinions, it's very difficult to turn."
