Kris Boyd and Chris Sutton star in hilarious Sky Sports Christmas advert

Kris Boyd and Chris Sutton starred in a hilarious Sky Sports Christmas advert aired before Rangers clashed with Motherwell this afternoon.

The pair took centre stage ahead of the Scottish Premiership showdown as they replicated John Lewis' 'Man on the Moon' advert from 2015.

Sutton was not in the Sky Sports studio this afternoon and the advert suggested he was in Lapland for the festivities.

Back home, his good friend Boyd was missing his partner in crime and the advert shows the Rangers hero trying to grab the attention of Sutton as he looks through a telescope.

Coverage then cut back to the studio and Boyd joked that Sutton will definitely be watching with Rangers in action on Sky Sports.

Meanwhile, Scott Wright believes the vision Philippe Clement has for Rangers is becoming even clearer as the Light Blues prepare for a cinch Premiership trip to Motherwell on Christmas Eve.

Wright outlined the impact Clement has had on the Gers squad, saying: “I love the way he works. He’s come in and he’s been a breath of fresh air for everyone here, the whole staff, both on and off the pitch.

“His training’s been very good as well and the results we’ve picked up have been fantastic so it’s a case of building momentum.

“He’s just very straightforward. I think you know what you get with him. He’s very clear what he wants from you individually and as a team and his intensity of what he wants to do and what he wants to bring as well.

“I think you can see individually and collectively as a team that the confidence is starting to build and picking up great results always helps with that.

“It wasn’t going to be able to change straight away after one or two games but you can see now that’s he’s had a few more games that you’re starting to see more of the picture and the idea of team he wants out on the pitch.”
