Kourtney Kardashian has revealed her ongoing IVF process has left her suffering from symptoms of depression.
The 43-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star is currently undergoing fertility treatment in an effort to have a baby with her partner Travis Barker.
However, the mum-of-three explained she has been struggling with the medication she has been prescribed.
During the latest episode of HULU’s The Kardashians, she told her mum Kris Jenner about the complications she has faced with her ongoing IVF treatment.
She said: “Travis and I want to have a baby and so my doctor took us down this road of doing IVF and it hasn’t been the most amazing experience.
“Every single person on social media is always like ‘Kourtney’s pregnant’, ‘Kourtney’s gained so much weight’ and I’m like, it’s so rude to comment on people when you have no idea what they’re actually going through.”
Kardashian - who is also mum to Mason, Penelope and Reign with her ex Scott Disick - claimed the medication she had been prescribed by the doctors had affected her mood.
She said: “The medication basically put me into depression.”
Kardashian also believed it was having the opposite effect and was actually working as a “contraceptive”.
She said: “I think because I’m so clean and careful with what I put into my body, it’s just having the complete opposite reaction and is working as a contraceptive instead of helping us.”
Despite her concerns, Jenner reassured her daughter they will probably be proud parents to a baby.
Kardashian and Barker confirmed last month they were trying for a baby together.
Parts of their current IVF journey are set to play out in the family’s new reality show The Kardashians.
The couple’s plan to start a family came months after they confirmed their engagement.
Earlier this April, the lovebirds then unveiled several pictures taken from a ceremony in Las Vegas - hours after the Grammys came to an end.
However, Kardashian revealed the ceremony wasn’t legally binding in an Instagram post.
She added: “Practice makes perfect.”
Barker has been previously married twice to Melissa Kennedy for nine months and Shanna Moakler between 2004 to 2006.
