Kourtney Kardashian realised what was "important" during her break from Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
The reality star is returning to our screens for the family's new show, The Kardashians, which premieres on Hulu, but Kourtney admits she enjoyed her time away from the cameras and loved getting to enjoy her life without her family now.
She appeared on The One Show to promote the new series alongside her sisters Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian, as she discussed how things had changed for her when she stepped off camera for a while.
Speaking about the break, she said: "We had a good year off and I think it felt amazing. I think it really allowed us to see what our lives were like individually, instead of just always being together.
"And I think we barely saw each other as much because we were happy to, you know, have a break."
Her sister Kim then chimed in to say: "When you have some time off, you can really regroup and live your life and have experience," as Kourtney added: "And you can decide what is important in your lives without this, like what is important to me now today."
Kourtney had previously described her time on the reality show as very "toxic".
"Shooting our show, it became a really toxic environment at the end for me," she explained recently, "I would fight with my sisters. There was, like, just a lot going on. And even for me personally, I wasn’t in the happiest place.
"I felt like I was being almost a character. This is Kourtney, and she’s in a bad mood, so even though she was laughing really at lunch, we’re going to cut out the laughing and let’s only use the annoying comment that she said."
Kourtney doesn't think she'll be on reality television forever though.
In a separate interview, asked what she thought she'd be doing in five years' time, she said: "I see myself living in another city. I don’t think I see myself filming on a show in five years. I would probably envision myself, like, just living."
