Reality TV legend Kourtney Kardashian looks almost recognisable in a throwback picture as a blonde teen in the 90s.
The image, shared to the nostalgic Instagram account 90sanxiety, shows a 15-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians pictured smiling after going platinum blonde in 1995.
The brunette beauty, who is currently dating Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, is known for her dark locks and rarely experiments with her trademark tresses.
While her sisters Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner have chopped and changed their hairstyles over the years, the 42-year-old Poosh founder has mainly stuck to her naturally black roots since being in the public eye.
However, Kourtney revealed to People that she was actually “the original sister with the blonde hair!” The mum-of-three added: “I was blonde in high school for just like a month. I think I was in 11th grade or something.”
Earlier this year, the former partner of Scott Disick went into a little more detail about her blonde beauty blunder on Instagram.
Sharing a throwback video on her stories, fans could watch the moment the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star revealed her yellow toned hair to her mum, Kris Jenner.
Filmed in their family kitchen, both Kourtney and her momager look dramatically different back in the mid 90s.
As the social media savvy star grabs her folders and heads to school, her mother asks her if she is planning to repair her yellow hued hair. “Kourtney, do you have an appointment to have your hair fixed tomorrow?” the 65-year-old is heard asking her daughter.
Kourtney went on to reveal that she only kept the lighter locks for a month before returning to the dark side.
“When i was getting my highlights touched up, all of them fried up and I had spikes of hair that stuck up so I dyed my hair black and cut it short,” she said when discussing her childhood hair-mare.
While the now adult Kourtney is known to sometimes sport a blonde wig, it’s unlikely she will ever hit the bleach again.
“I’m just a brown-haired girl,” she has since stated. “It just suits me. I like my dark hair.”
