Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker 'praying for a miracle' on their IVF journey

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are "committed to each other" and determined to add to their blended family - no matter how the tough challenge may be.

The loved-up pair, who had a practise wedding in Las Vegas earlier this month, have been open and honest about their desire to welcome a child into the world together - with their ongoing IVF journey set to be documented on new Hulu series, The Kardashians.

At 42, mum-of-three Kourtney is reportedly worried she may have reached the "cut-off age" to have more children, and she and the Blink 182 rocker are said to be "praying for a miracle".

The reality TV veteran - who shares sons Mason, 12, and Reign, 7, and daughter Penelope, 9, with ex Scott Disick - is currently undergoing invitro fertilization (IVF) treatments in a bid to conceive her first child with her future husband.

Travis, who is dad to Landon, 18, and Alabama, 16, from his marriage to Shanna Moakler, has been "fully supporting" the Poosh founder on the journey, with insiders claiming the experience has brought them even closer together.

"[Kourtney] feels like she’s almost at the cut-off age of having kids, so this is almost like her last chance," a source close to the stars has told American publication Us. "They’re praying for a miracle."

The insider went on to explain why the reality TV star made the decision to share her bid to become a mother again on camera in the upcoming series of The Kardashians.

"Her relationship with Travis was filmed so it was important for her to also share her pregnancy journey," the source says.

"They’re very committed to each other and raising their kids as a blended family but are hoping to have a child together."

Travis and Kourtney were friends and neighbours for years before they developed a romance and went public with their relationship in January last year - with the drummer popping the question in a beachside proposal just months later on October 17 2021.

In the first episode of The Kardashians, Kourtney details the adverse side effects of her IVF journey with her husband-to-be.

In one scene, the mum-of-three is seen opening up to mum Kris Jenner about her ongoing attempts to have another baby, describing the process as “awful”.

Kourtney tells the cameras: "Travis and I want to have a baby, so my doctor took us down this road of doing IVF. It hasn't been the most amazing experience."

"The medication that they've been giving me put me into menopause - literally into menopause."

She goes on to add: "I think because I'm so clean and careful with what I put into my body, it's just having the complete opposite reaction and working as a contraceptive instead of helping us."

The episode where Kourtney opens up about her journey is available to stream on Hulu from April 14.
