Kong is getting a brand new action-adventure game with 2.5D graphics that is being developed by Polish studio 7LEVELS in collaboration with Legendary Pictures.
The game, known as Kong: Survivor Instinct, will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam when it launches sometime this fall. The official description also sets the story where a sudden Titan attack prompts massive evacuation efforts.

However, not everyone is able to make it to safety before destruction ensues and many residents, caught in the crossfire between dueling monsters, are trapped in the collapsing city. Among them is your character's only daughter.
Kong: Survivor Instinct mixes realistic platforming puzzles with challenging combat and Metroidvania-style exploration. It is said to be a thrilling quest of survival that is worthy of the Monsterverse franchise, according to Gematsu.
In the upcoming game, players will be able to influence the Titans using Monarch technology and use their massive strength to their benefit. All of this is while you try to navigate a dangerous maze of collapsing buildings, toxic leaks, and raging fires.
In Kong: Survivor Instinct, you will need to scavenge for any resources, weapons, and tools you can in order to solve various environmental puzzles and defend yourself against both human and monster-type enemies.
Legendary Entertainment's VP of Interactive Media, Sam Rappaport, also talked a little bit about the upcoming game.
He said that 7LEVELS was able to brilliantly capture a "unique corner" of the Monsterverse through an intense 2.5D action-adventure experience, said IGN.
Rappaport said that in Kong: Survivor Instinct, players will be able to experience a narrative through the eyes of a civilian who is unaffiliated with any agencies. He noted that this adds a layer of realism and emotional depth that they hope will resonate among fans.
A New Monsterverse Game
Alongside the announcement of the game was a short trailer that showed off some of the gameplay that players can expect to see in Kong: Survivor Instinct.
Co-founder of 7LEVELS, Pawel Biela, said that it was an exciting opportunity to work with the massively popular Monsterverse IP.
Speaking about the project, Biela added that they did not only get a chance to show fans some of their fan-favorite Titans from a unique perspective. They were also able to find committed and supportive partners from the team at Legendary Entertainment.
Biella also noted that their partner's deep understanding of the Monsterverse lore and what makes it so popular allowed 7LEVELS to recapture that essence and recreate it in Kong: Survivor Instinct, according to ComicBook.
