Kanpur: Prolific batter Virat Kohli on Tuesday presented a signed bat to Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, following India's victory over Bangladesh in the second Test match at Kanpur's Green Park Stadium.
Kohli gifted him the bat before engaging in conversation with him and other Bangladeshi players.
Shakib announces retirement plan
Notably, Shakib Al Hasan had announced his T20I retirement ahead of the second Test. The veteran all-rounder has expressed his desire to play his final Test in Mirpur during Bangladesh's home series against South Africa, scheduled to begin on October 21.

However, Shakib had said that if he couldn't travel to Bangladesh due to security concerns, the Kanpur Test would be his last.
The all-rounder has not travelled to Bangladesh since Sheikh Hasina resigned as PM and fled the country following uproar against her governmemnt.
Shakib is a member of Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League Party.

India crushed Bangladesh
Earlier, India defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets in Kanpur to complete a 2-0 series sweep. In the first match in Chennai, India had thrashed Bangladesh by 280 runs.
