1. Station Coffee House, Bridge Road, Prescot
Originally built in 1871 as a Station masters house, the quirky espresso and food bar is family-run and located right next to Prescot train station.
One five-star reviewer wrote: "If you've been, you'll go back. Simple as... Good fresh food at decent prices? Friendly Staff? Station house have got it spot on..."
Another commented: "This place is a hidden gem! Really high quality food and great front of house service. I'd highly recommend the hot sandwiches in particular the halloumi with chorizo and chilli jam!"
2. Flavio's Italian Restaurant, Tarbock Road, Huyton
Flavio's Italian restaurant is situated in a converted petrol station in Huyton and serves an array of Italian signature dishes.
JCon1 said: "Lovely food, lovely atmosphere. Excellent for families and value for money. Would happily return again in the future."

She said: "We have just had another fantastic meal at Flavios. This is our local restaurant and one of the main reasons we return time after time is the staff.
"The food is always fantastic, great choice and perfect presentation, but a special mention must go to all of the staff - Danielle, Helen, Lisa and new starter Ella. They have to be some of the best restaurant staff we have come across.
"Typical Liverpool humour, professional and just lovely people. If you haven't tried this restaurant you must give it a go - you won't be disappointed."
3. Pinion, Eccleston Street, Prescot
Pinion Bistro, located in the town centre, is from the team behind successful restaurants Wreckfish, Hispi, Sticky Walnut and Burnt Truffle.

Another five star review said: "We normally have dinner at Pinion and this was our first lunch. Welcoming atmosphere, friendly service and excellent food.
"We had prawns, focaccia bread, roast beef and dessert. Enjoyed every minute and every mouthful."
4. Eton Place, Derby Road, Huyton
Although the Huyton Village restaurant has not been open long, Eton Place has already received many positive reviews.
One review reads: "Living locally to Huyton Village, we have been looking forward to visiting Eton Place since opening. Wow what a lovely restaurant!
"Such kind, friendly and attentive staff and the restaurant has beautiful modern decor and very clean.
"Our starters were excellent, really delicious (my partner has the Thai salmon fishcakes and I had the Ezme Salata which was beautiful with flatbread) our main kebab dishes were great sized portion with fresh salad, grilled peppers and fluffy rice, the kebabs were cooked perfect with plenty of flavoured seasoning.
"We will definitely visit again and after finding out the restaurant now features on JustEat, our next takeaway night in is sorted! Thank you Eton Place "

"They have the service off to perfection an the food is always freshly cooked to the highest standard.
"Best King Prawn sizzler in Liverpool! Defo worth a visit if you are in the area."
Another reviewed: "I stayed around this area in the beginning of January and after eating at a few disappointing pubs and a restaurant I came here and what a relief it was.
"The staff knew what they were talking about and were also friendly.

"Great value for what you get. 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 hash browns, 2 sausages (they are not like chippy sausages in any shape, form or taste), beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans and black pudding.
"Amazing breakfast, best we've had in a long long time. Service time great considering how busy they were with delivery orders (must have had about 8 staff on).

"The menu is large and really varied, and the food is presented well. This is always our go-to place for takeaway food too, and the new website ordering service is fabulous!"
