Knowsley had the biggest weekly percentage fall in positive Covid tests within the Liverpool City Region.
According to the latest data from Public Health England, Knowsley had 1,064 infections in the seven days ending January 30 - that's 316 fewer infections than the previous week.
This meant Knowsley's week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 23%.
The other five areas of the city region also recorded falls in Covid tests, which has been continuing for 24 days in a row. And the Liverpool City Region's week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 16%.
Areas close to the city region - including Warrington, West Lancashire and Cheshire West and Chester - recorded drops in infections.
There was a 8% fall in positive tests in England in the week ending January 30.

Liverpool's positive tests came to 3,441 cases in the week ending January 30, which is 639 fewer cases than the previous week.
This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 16%.
The latest infection rate was 687.5 cases per 100,000 people.
Wirral
Wirral's positive tests came to 2,896 cases in the week ending January 30, which is 472 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 14%.
The latest infection rate was 892.9 cases per 100,000 people.
Halton
There were 1,175 positive tests over the last week - that's 236 fewer cases than in the previous week.
This means the week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 17% in Halton in the week ending January 30.
The latest infection rate is 905.5 cases per 100,000 people.
St Helens
There was a total of 1,296 cases in the week ending January 30, which is 329 fewer cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate in St Helens is 715.6 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 20%.
Knowsley
There was a total of 1,064 cases in the week ending January 30, which is 316 fewer cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate in Knowsley is 697.9 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 23%.
Sefton
Sefton had a total of 2,030 cases in the week ending January 30, which is a 349 fewer cases than in the previous week.

There were 11,902.0 positive tests over in the week ending January 30, which is 2,341 fewer cases than in the previous week.

Warrington
There were 1,645 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending January 30, which is 377 fewer cases than the previous week.
The week-on-week percentage figure fell by 19%. There was an infection rate of 785.59 per 100,000 people.
West Lancs
West Lancashire recorded 976 coronavirus cases in the week ending January 30, which is 179 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
This meant there was a week-on-week percentage figure dropped by 16%. The infection rate was 852.43 per 100,000 people.
Cheshire West and Chester
There were 3,610 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending January 30, which is 437 fewer cases than the previous week.
The latest infection rate is 1,049.96 cases per 100,000 people, and there was a week-on-week percentage decrease of 11% in cases.
England
In the week ending January 30, England recorded 591,309 coronavirus cases, which is 47,981 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
There was a week-on-week percentage fall of 8% in cases in England, and there was an infection rate of 1,045.64 per 100,000 people.
