Know-it expands with new head of marketing

Know-it has appointed Laura Gibbons as its new head of marketing and communications.

The cloud-based credit management platform launched last month, aiming to give businesses the tools to automate the way they manage risk in the credit control process, helping save time and reduce late payments.

Gibbons will work alongside the senior leadership team to help strengthen the core offering through a new marketing strategy, overseeing brand messaging.

With more than 17 years' marketing experience, she has worked across a range of sectors, including utilities, manufacturing and construction.

Gibbons moved from Ideagen to Reactec, where she helped launch its business-to-business technology, working with employers to help protect employees from workplace risks.

She commented: “Know-it is a unique and innovative platform that solves a big issue for businesses facing the challenge of unpaid invoices.

“I have a technology background and have always been driven by the fast-paced nature of the sector, so I am excited by the challenge of joining a leading fintech - and I am passionate about developing the team further as we continue to expand.”

Lynne Darcey Quigley, chief executive of Know-it, said: “Experience was critical in finding a suitable candidate for this post, and it was clear to me that Laura’s eye for detail, ambitions for the role and her ability to see the bigger picture made her a perfect fit for us.

“We have enjoyed yet another hugely successful year at Know-it, but our work is never done and having Laura leading the marketing and comms team will help guide us through our next, very aggressive growth phase, which will see us bring even more features into our offering.”

Know-it’s solution monitors customer and supplier's creditworthiness, while also chasing payments automatically and collecting overdue and unpaid invoices in one place.

It has already established partnerships with credit agencies and accountancy software such as Companies House, The Gazette, Unsecured Creditors, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and FreeAgent. This gives real-time credit information to help businesses avoid fraud.

The Glasgow-based firm was founded in 2019 by Quigley, who has worked within the debt recovery industry for over 25 years and is also the founder of commercial debt recovery company Darcey Quigley & Co.

While Know-it works in partnership with Darcey Quigley & Co, it is a standalone company, which works strictly on a business-to-business basis and does not offer services at consumer level.
