Knights law firm completes acquisition of Globe Consultants in Lincoln

Knights law firm has completed its latest acquisition, taking on town planning and development specialist Globe Consultants.

The acquisition of the Lincoln firm adds four town planning specialists to the Knights team, bolstering its existing chartered town planning offering.

Globe advises on all aspects of large scale planning projects, including transport planning, economic development, regeneration and community development projects, supporting clients across private and public sector, health and education and third sector organisations.

It is the Knights latest investment in the Lincolnshire market, following the acquisition of Langleys Solicitors earlier this year, which has offices in York and Lincoln. The moves have helped see it grow its presence in the region to 45 professionals.

John Tansur, client services director at Knights said: “We’re delighted to be enhancing our existing offering to clients and bolstering our presence in Lincolnshire with the addition of the talented Globe team.

“We look forward to welcoming them to Knights as we continue to build our strong position in the regions outside London.”

Phil Scrafton, managing director at Globe said: “Following my plans to retire at the end of the financial year, the Globe team will be starting an exciting new chapter at Knights with a broader range of services and expertise that will benefit our clients.

“Having known the team at Knights for some time, this is a great opportunity to unlock growth as part of a larger group.”

James Rigby, planning and development director at Globe, said: “We are excited to be joining Knights, and look forward to combining our existing expertise with that of Knights’ established team, to the benefit of our clients.”

Knights is one of the UK's top 50 biggest law firms by revenue, and is focussed on key UK markets outside London.

It has 18 offices in Birmingham, Cheltenham, Chester, Crawley, Exeter, Leeds, Leicester, Lincoln, Maidstone, Manchester, Nottingham, Oxford, Sheffield, Staffordshire, Teesside, Weybridge, Wilmslow and York.
