A boy who allegedly came to the aid of a 17-year-old who was fatally stabbed during a brawl at Sydney's Royal Easter Show has pleaded guilty to two offences.
Police told the court the teen produced a 10cm folding knife as he came to the aid of the 17-year-old, who was being attacked.
The court heard the 15-year-old caused witnesses at the scene to fear for their safety.
The 15-year-old, who was arrested at the scene in April, was charged with affray, carrying a knife in a public place and being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence.
According to court documents, the teen pleaded guilty to the first two charges, but not the third.
The boy's case was heard briefly at Parramatta Children's Court, where he was excused from attending and his strict bail conditions were extended.
Uati "Pele" Felatolu, 17, who worked for one of the show's ride operators, was stabbed in the chest and another 16-year-old boy sustained leg injuries during the fight, which broke out near amusement rides on April 10.
NSW Police have yet to identify the killer despite trawling through hours of CCTV and mobile footage of the incident.
The matter has been adjourned until June 21.
No other arrests have been made.
