A repeat Lanarkshire knife offender has been warned he is "perilously close" to getting a jail sentence.
Police officers found a Stanley blade when they searched Niki Bolland in Calderwood Square, East Kilbride.
Bolland, 41, of Troon Avenue, East Kilbride, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday.
He admitted unlawful possession of the knife on November 26 last year.
His not guilty pleas to charges of possessing cannabis and acting in a threatening or abusive manner were accepted.
The court heard police officers had cause to speak to Bolland about 3.40pm.
He admitted he was carrying a knife which was then found in his jacket pocket.
Defence agent Andy Iles said Bolland is currently under social work supervision for another matter.
Sheriff Ray Small noted that, previously, he'd been given a community payback order for possessing a knife and a similar order for rowdy behaviour while carrying a blade.
On each occasion he'd breached the order and been jailed.
The sheriff told him: "Given those previous convictions, you're getting perilously close to a custodial sentence.
"However, I'll get a report to see how you are doing on your latest CPO and I'll keep all options open."
Sentence was deferred until next month and Bolland was allowed to remain on bail.
