NEW YORK — Mitchell Robinson’s father has been missing for over a week, the Knicks center said in a plea for help on social media Monday.
Police in Pensacola, Fla., shared a Facebook post on Feb. 13, saying 39-year-old Mitchell Robinson Jr. was missing.
“Don’t know a place the devil will hide you,” the younger Mitchell Robinson wrote on Instagram on Monday. “Come home pops.”
Robinson, 23, is a Pensacola native and finished his high school career in the New Orleans area before eventually making the direct jump to the NBA when he was drafted by the Knicks in 2018.
After a slow start that he attributed to poor conditioning after offseason foot surgery, Robinson has come on strong with free agency looming.
