The Arizona Cardinals had to deal with three late-season injuries to starters. Two of them ended up being quite serious.
AZCardinals.com’s Darren Urban included some injury updates in one of his stories for the team site.
Left tackle D.J. Humphries’ injury status is known, but the severity of the injuries to defensive linemen Jonathan Ledbetter and Dante Stills were not previously reported.
Here is what we know.
OL D.J. Humphries
Humphries tore his ACL in Week 17 but, according to head coach Jonathan Gannon, Humphries can’t have surgery until his MCL heals. He is looking at a month or two more before he can have surgery, which will delay his return.
DL Jonathan Ledbetter
Ledbetter suffered a torn ACL. That had not been previously reported. That is tough as he enters his restricted free agent year.
DL Dante Stills
Stills also injured his knee in Week 17 but did not tear his ACL. It was a sprain. He tried to lobby to play in the season finale.
