Manchester United have been told to drop Harry Maguire and set their sights on signing a replacement.
Having returned from Euro 2020 duty with England last summer, the £80million captain has struggled to produce top form and has been heavily criticised by pundits and former players.
Maguire was, meanwhile, turned inside out by Wout Weghorst last night as United were pegged back by Burnley during a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor.
It was Jay Rodriguez who providing the finishing touch after that error and an opener from Paul Pogba.
Moving forward, the Old Trafford giants have been advised to take Maguire out of the firing line and pursue their previous transfer target Matthijs de Ligt from Juventus.
Speaking to Paddy Power, the former United man Kleberson said: "Manchester United look far more assured with Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof at the back, rather than Harry Maguire.
"Harry Maguire is an excellent player and a very experienced one. He organises the back line well, but he has had a tough time this season in the Premier League, particularly in one-vs-one situations and where he has been short of pace. Speed really troubles him.
"By taking a step back out of the team, he [Maguire] will understand how he can improve by seeing what it is that he needs to get better at and how he can play better with the other players around him."

Kleberson added: "They need someone faster and stronger in the air who can anticipate what will happen and that will be able to stop counter attacks. I like Matthijs de Ligt.
"They tried to bring him in a few years ago, but didn't quite work out. Manchester United need a player like him and they need to get someone in there to do a better job."
