Klay Thompson’s disappointed reaction to seeing his Game 6 stats is so sad, yet hilariously relatable

We got a different Game 6 Klay this year, y’all.

Typically, Klay Thompson is an absolute beast when it comes down to Game 6 performances. He’s had so many stellar ones in his career where it just seems like he cannot miss. The Rockets, Thunder and Cavaliers all know the vibes.

Everyone was waiting for that performance to kick in at some point during the Lakers-Warriors series — especially once Golden State won Game 5 at home. With the way the Warriors struggled on the road this season, Golden State desperately needed it.

There were no Game 6 heroics from Thompson this time, though. Instead, the Lakers are moving on to play the Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals.

Related: Nikola Jokic is the NBA’s best player and it’s time we started acting like it.

And Thompson shot the ball terribly. He started 1-10 in the first quarter and finished the game 3-19 total. That awful performance prompted this hilarious — yet, kind of sad? — reaction from Thompson after seeing his stats in the box score.

Like, yo. Apologies to Klay Thompson. I know he didn’t play well and the Warriors’ season is over now and everything. But…this is tremendous content.

It’s so funny because we all know this reaction. That’s the same “shoot” you gave when your teacher slipped your test on your desk back in the 5th grade and you saw you had an F. It’s the same “shoot” you say when you get the bill back for dinner and you and your partner just went a little overboard on the drinks and appetizers. Like, did we really need to order that many wings?

Even in failure, Klay is extremely relatable. That’s just so perfect. Of course, everyone had a good laugh from this.
