Thursday was a special day for the Warriors, not due specifically to any one player’s accomplishments but due to a calendrical quirk.
Golden State played the Clippers at home and beat them, 120–114, on Nov. 30, 2023—11/30/2023, a date that contains the uniform numbers of guard Klay Thompson, guard Steph Curry and forward Draymond Green.
The Warriors celebrated their dynastic trio throughout the game, and each player had a hand in Golden State’s win: Curry had 26 points, seven rebounds and eight assists, Thompson had 22 points and six rebounds, and Green had 13 points, five rebounds and five assists.
In a postgame interview with all three, they reminded fans of what has made them so compelling since the mid-2010s: their enthusiasm and joviality on the court.
"I didn't know it's your guys' fifth year together ... I'm proud of you two."

When NBC Sports Bay Area play-by-play announcer Bob Fitzgerald asked Thompson about his fourth-quarter play, Thompson turned the question back on the announcer and his partner, color commentator (and ex-Warrior) Kelenna Azubuike.
“Well Bob, it only takes one, but more importantly, I didn’t know it was you guys’ fifth year together,” Thompson said. “When I was doing broadcasts with y’all, I didn’t know how it was gonna look down the line. I’m proud of you two. The chemistry you two are building is like us three.”
The camera then panned out slightly to show both Curry and Green—who, like Thompson, have played their entire careers with Golden State—in hysterics.
