Flyers reportedly posted by the KKK telling immigrants to "leave now" have been found in Kentucky following Donald Trump's inauguration.

Several police departments in Kentucky released statements regarding the flyers after locals reported finding them in their cities. The Bellevue Police Department added that some residents had found them in their yards.

"We are aware that racist flyers have been located in yards and other areas of the city. As disgusting as they are, currently the only criminal violation is littering and illegal posting of signage," the department's statement continued, adding that the FBI has been notified.

While officials have taken down photos of the flyers, the posters are said to have shown the phrases "mass deportation in 2025" and "leave now" as Uncle Sam kicking a family, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported. The flyers also reportedly promote membership for the KKK.

Police in Ludlow, Kentucky, also confirmed in a statement that the flyers, which they referred to as "hateful garbage," had been found around town.

"We are aware and have already taken one report for this disturbing and disgusting KKK propaganda that is being passed around our community. This hateful garbage has been turning up in other cities as well," the Ludlow Police Department said, encouraging those who felt threatened to file a police report.

Fort Wright Mayor Dave Hatter also condemned the flyers as "hateful garbage" in a post to Facebook Monday, adding that they "will not be tolerated in the City of Fort Wright and should not be tolerated by our society as a whole."

"This despicable flyer is designed to intimidate immigrants and encourages membership in the KKK. While other communities have also been targeted with this type of material in the past, to our knowledge, this is the first time our community has had this type of disgusting material distributed," Hatter wrote.

"Council, Staff, and I are outraged and dismayed that this has occurred in our community. It is especially appalling that it happened on Dr. Martin Luther King Day," he continued.

While hate speech is protected under the First Amendment, Ludlow officials said that they plan to file criminal charges against those responsible if they can be identified.

Trump previously promised "mass deportations" during his campaign for presidency. Since winning the 2024 election, Trump's border czar Tom Homan promised large-scale raids across the country as soon as Trump was inaugurated.
