Kit clash as fans 'can't see the difference' between Mayo and Galway

Fans have been left unable to tell the difference between Mayo and Galway due to a kit clash in their preliminary All-Ireland quarter-final.

Due to the sun in Salthill, many fans on TV were unable to differentiate between the green and red of Mayo and the purple and white of Galway.

To further complicate things, both teams were wearing white shorts and dark socks making it even more difficult for some fans to tell the teams apart.

Taking to Twitter, a number of fans explained their frustrations:

"Hard enough to pick out whose a Galway or Mayo player while watching this on tv…time to have teams wear alternate shorts as some bit of a help?" said Sean.

"Eyes are f***** can't see the difference in the mayo galway jerseys," said Harry.

"Galway vs Mayo ; yet again, two teams with dark jerseys + white shorts. More consideration needed for the elderly and visually-impaired, more contrast needed in the colours (esp when not in HD!)" said Liam.

"Really wish someone would wear a white away jersey in this game," said Cormac.

"Galway goalie jersey awfully similar to outfield one as well," said Emmet.
