Kirkcudbright Primary holds special celebration to mark school's 10th birthday

Kirkcudbright Primary held a milestone birthday celebration recently.

It’s now a decade since the school was opened, replacing the Johnston and Castldykes Primaries in the town.

Former teachers and staff were invited to have a look around the school along with parents and invited guests who were able to take in the various displays the classes had been working on.

Pupils also sang the school song and enjoyed a piece of cake which was cut by the current head teacher, Mr David Stevens, and a former head, Mrs Linda Dalziel.

They were joined by the school’s youngest pupil Elsie Brough and the oldest pupil Angus Valentine.
