Kirkcudbright Primary School held a snowman drive in class recently and asked for donations for the local food bank.
The appeal met with a great response from parents aware that rocketing energy and food bills are putting pressure on many families.
After the fun event the two P7 house captains helped deliver the food and toiletries to the team at Kirkcudbright Food Bank.
Head teacher David Stevens said: “All the pupils had a great time and enjoyed playing together.
“They were happy that they could show that they care about other people in our community.”
The game is like a beetle drive but players throw dice to draw a snowman instead.
