Kirkcudbright Country Fair returns this weekend with a packed line-up of entertainment.
Stars of the show include the Vander Superheroes Space Wheel Show and the RPM Bike Trials Display team. There will also be sheep dog displays, dog agility and free children’s entertainment.
John Blaikie, convener of the country fair and chairman of Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities, said: “We have waited three years to welcome everyone back to what has to be the best family friendly country fair.
“There are going to be thrills and excitement for everyone.
“I know I can’t wait to see the wheel of death with our super heroes doing death defying stunts.
“There is a mountain bike show three times each day, plenty of food and drink stalls with lots of handmade goodies.
“When you get hungry there are food vendors and we have a beer tent and the church tent which will be serving tea, coffee and cake.
“For £6 per ticket, we’re delighted to be able to offer free children’s rides, play on the bouncy castles, merry-go-rounds and trampolines all day. There are also clowns, magicians and bubbles.”
The fair will take place at The Carse, just outside Kirkcudbright, on Saturday and Sunday.
Visitors will be treated to a packed schedule in the main arena, including the Vander Superheroes who will run, skip, juggle and even go blindfold on the outside of the wheel of death. Also getting the adrenaline flowing will be the RPM team whose show involves impressive flips, jumps and tricks.
Elaine Hill’s sheepdog displays are a firm family favourite, mixing entertainment and knowledge. The STARS Stewartry Dog Agility team will also be taking part and there will be a huge selection of free children’s entertainment including a giant inflatable slide, merry-go-round, trampolines, an art and crafts tent, Daffy Dill and Frank the Magician.
On Sunday there will be a dog show with registration open at 9am ahead of an 11am start. There will also be a marquee with food, drinks and craft stalls and a beer tent.
Tickets are available on the gate or at www.ksf.scot/tickets with the full timetable on the summer festivities Facebook page.
Sponsors include James Smith Fencing, Tarff Valley, Galloway Glens and the Dark Arts Distillery.
