Kirkbean Playmobil Festival set to return on July 29

Kirkbean Playmobil Festival is set to make its long-awaited return.

The popular four-day event hasn’t been held since 2019 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But the 11th festival will take place in the village hall from July 29 to August 1.

Displays this year include Noah’s Ark, a creepy castle, summer holiday, the beach town railway and a busy street. There will also be lots of small displays, with prizes donated by Playmobil, hidden things to find, a play area, small shop and refreshments.

Organised by Elaine Roydes from Southerness, the event is held to raise funds for the village hall. Elaine, who will be joined by Gordon and Diane Whitehead from Yorkshire, said: “It is a great day out for all the family.”

Entry costs £3.50 for adults and £2.50 for children.

Sandwiches and home baking will be available.
