Kirk Cousins took time to sign autographs even while nursing a torn Achilles

Kirk Cousins is having a rough few days, but that hasn’t stopped him from going out of his way for others.

Truthfully, the Minnesota Vikings are going through it right now. Tight end T.J. Hockenson and rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison have recently dealt with injuries. Top wideout Justin Jefferson is on Injured Reserve with a hamstring injury expected to sideline him for at least four weeks. Then, Cousins tore his Achilles against the Packers on Sunday.

Despite knowing his season was likely done, Cousins continued to cheer on his teammates from the sideline as he sat on an injury cart. Amazing.

Undoubtedly, that takes so much courage to do. Yet, Minnesota’s quarterback found a way to create joy amid disappointment. That incredible strength did not stop on the field.

On Monday, just hours removed from his injury, Cousins signed autographs for fans at a Vikings Kids Club Halloween event. Vikings fan Blair Reynolds, who was there with his nephew, was blown away by Cousins’ classy gesture.

“You could have said no to an autograph. No one would have blamed you after the day you have had,” Reynolds said. “Thank you for showing him that despite all the bad, you can rise above it.”

Fantastic.
