Kirk Cousins, 35, has officially signed a four-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons after spending six seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. The quarterback, along with his wife Julie Hampton Cousins and their two sons, Turner and Cooper, are embarking on a new chapter in Atlanta, Georgia.
Julie shared their family's journey on social media, documenting their move from Minnesota to Atlanta. In an Instagram story, she showed their sons playing musical instruments while packing for the move. The family's Australian Labradoodle, Abe, was less enthusiastic about the relocation, as captured in another post.
During their road trip to Atlanta, the Cousins family made a pit stop at the Ark Encounter in Kentucky, a life-sized Noah's Ark recreation. The exhibit, built according to biblical dimensions, spans 510 feet long and 51 feet high.
Kirk Cousins is set to return to the field with the Falcons this fall following a season-ending Achilles tendon injury in October. Despite the setback, Cousins remains optimistic about his future in football. He expressed his unwavering dedication to the sport, emphasizing that he has never questioned his career choice.
In a previous interview, Cousins highlighted the joy of living his dream as an NFL player. He also mentioned his sons' growing interest in football, noting that they are beginning to understand and appreciate his career. While his sons may not fully grasp the concept of retirement yet, Cousins looks forward to sharing his football journey with them in the years to come.
