Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins was ready to put his team on the board quickly during Sunday’s game vs. the Panthers, but his attempt failed miserably.
Cousins attempted to throw a touchdown to receiver K.J. Osborn to finish off the Vikings’ first drive of the game, but Panthers safety Sam Franklin Jr. picked off the throw at the one-yard line. What commenced after was Franklin running 99 yards to score a touchdown to put the Panthers on the board before the offense even came onto the field.
Cousins ran down the field almost parallel to Franklin and tried to make a play, but the QB was crushed by a violent block near the 20-yard line to end his heroic attempt at halting the pick-six.

Knowing Cousins, he will likely be overthinking that play for quite some time.
Both teams entered Sunday’s game in dire need of a win, as they both have 0–3 records.
