Football legend Charley Trippi has passed away at the age of 100. Trippi, who played college football at the University of Georgia, is a member of both the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the College Football Hall of Fame.
Trippi is one of the greatest football players of all-time. He won an NFL championship and a national championship during his career. Trippi’s No. 62 jersey is retired with the Georgia Bulldogs. Trippi is still the only player in the Pro Football Hall of Fame with over 1,000 yards passing, rushing, and receiving.
Charley Trippi is remembered as more than just a football player. Trippi has a family and served in World War II. Trippi lived in Athens, Georgia.
Trippi did a little bit of everything. He even coached baseball at Georgia between seasons during his NFL career.
