Kirby and the Forgotten Land demo available now along with new trailer

Kirby and the Forgotten Land launches this month, March 25, and Nintendo has released a brand new playable demo and trailer which showcases brand new areas, powers, and gives us more context on how Kirby found himself in a strange new world.

Kirby’s traditional 2D perspective has been shifted to 3D after being pulled into a strange portal and landing in an entirely new place. Yes, this is also the concept for the recent Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and every isekai anime in existence.

The previously revealed – and heavily memed – Mouthful Mode takes a spotlight in this trailer, and showcases powers we’ve seen, such as Ring Mouth and Arch Mouth, in addition to new abilities including Stairs Mouth, Dome Mouth, and Pipe Mouth. That will always be strange to read back.

The demo for Kirby and the Forgotten Land is available now and includes the first three levels of the game to play. The entire game can be played in co-op with a single friend, making it the ideal Kirby game to play with a younger sibling or one of your children.

In addition to Mouthful Mode Kirby still has his copy abilities, and the trailer shows him using them in a variety of situations, including against large, powerful boss creatures. Each copy ability can even be powered up to make them more effective against tougher monsters.

Even your Kirby amiibo are compatible here and can deliver items to you in-game for a quick boost if you’re in a tough situation.

The full Kirby and the Forgotten Land trailer can be viewed below, and the game demo is now available to download on Nintendo Switch via the eShop. Kirby and the Forgotten Land launches on March 25, and we’ll be playing it as soon as possible. Just as soon as we’re done with Elden Ring guides.
