Kinnoull manager Alan Cameron enjoyed professional performance against Kennoway as Jon Clark earns "excellent" debut praise

Manager Alan Cameron hopes the wind remains in Kinnoull’s sails for the First Division run-in.

The Perth side picked up another three points last Saturday thanks to a 4-0 win against Kennoway Star Hearts at a gusty Treaton Park.

Kinnoull sit fourth in the table and now travel to 13th-placed Lochore Welfare looking to keep the ball rolling.

“I was really happy with the three points and performance last Saturday,” Cameron told the PA.

“It was a thoroughly professional job in conditions that weren’t ideal for either side. The wind was horrific.

“We were in at half-time 3-0 up but emphasised what we had to do in the second half. The boys executed the game plan brilliantly and we managed to score early.

“Excuse the pun, but it took the wind out of their sails and killed the game as a contest. We saw the rest of the game out without any real danger against our goal.”

Cameron was pleased with the debut of midfielder Jon Clark, who has joined the club on loan from Jeanfield Swifts and even got his name on the scoresheet.

“Jon had an excellent debut, capped with a goal which he was delighted with,” Cameron said.

“A big thanks to the guys at Jeanfield Swifts for allowing him to come on loan and the professionalism in getting it sorted.

“Over the coming weeks he will get himself fully match fit for this level.”
