This weekend will mark the beginning of the King's Coronation celebrations with millions of people set to celebrate it across the UK.
The event will take place in London and will see King Charles III officially mark his reign in a ceremony at Westminster Abbey on Saturday, May 6. Camilla will also be crowned alongside the King.
Soon after, a Coronation Concert will be broadcast live at Windsor Castle the following day on Sunday, May 7.

While most of the celebrations will be held down south, Scots can still celebrate all week and for a few days, with a bank holiday taking place in less than a week on May 8, falling on a Monday.
So if you're going out, when can you expect pubs to be open until and what events are being held? Here is everything you need to know.

Street parties and lunches
Glasgow City Council did not confirm any street party applications. The deadline to apply for street parties has passed, reports the Daily Record.

Coronation Tea, St James Pollok Parish church, Monday, May 8

Pub opening hours

A general exemption will allow for pubs and late night venues closing later than they usually would. On May 6 and 7, pubs across Glasgow will open until 1am instead of 12am. Bars and nightclubs in the city centre will shut at 4am instead of 3am
Volunteering
There are at least 12 volunteering events across Glasgow, all set up by children's charity Bernardo's for the Big Help Out on Monday, May 8. Check out the interactive map here.
