Nicole Scherzinger wowed audiences as she appeared at the Coronation Concert on Sunday (May 7) night. She was one of several artists - including Take That, Lionel Richie and Katy Perry - to perform at the prestigious event on the BBC.
Pussycat Dolls star Nicole sang a rendition of Reflection, accompanied by pianist Lang Lang, which was written and produced for Disney’s 1998 animated film Mulan. She wore a navy sheer gown on stage. The barnstorming performance came after the host of the BBC-aired concert, Kirsty Young couldn't seem to get the singer's name right.
The 44-year-old singer impressed not only the audience, who turned out in their thousands at Windsor Castle, but also the King and Queen themselves. Over on social media viewers tuning in at home also praised Nicole for her performance.

"Miss Nicole Scherzinger reminding everyone she is a VOCALIST!" said one person during the performance. A second commented: "Didn’t know that Nicole Scherzinger could sing like tht, fair play."
A third then wrote: "Well, who knew Nicole could sing like that!!!!" And a fourth said: "Nicole Scherzinger can sing wow.”
Earlier in the evening viewers also noted that the BBC's host for the show, Kirsty Young, made a slip-up while cutting to an interview backstage with Nicole. Young came under fire for fluffing the pronunciation of the singer's name, saying: "And there of course we see the arrival of their Majesties the King and Queen. There's not very much that could upstage Nicole Sershinger, uh you know who I mean.”
One person said of Kirsty's pronunciation: "Not the presenter pronouncing Nicole Scherzinger's name so horribly.” A second echoed: "Nicole Scherzinger or whatever her name is, dear me what a mess.”
"Did she say I can't even say Nicole Scherzinger? She just did. Lol," another commented. What were your thoughts on the Coronation Concert? Let us know in the comments.
