King Charles will still give a nod to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in his first ever Christmas speech despite rising tensions thanks, a source has claimed.
The King will reportedly resist any temptation to not include them in his historic festive address to the nation in a weeks' time.
The news comes as Harry accused Buckingham Palace of 'lying' to protect Prince William in the Sussexes controversial six-part series on Netflix.
Harry also claimed his father 'said things that just simply weren’t true' at a crunch Megxit crisis meeting with the Queen in January 2020
That has led to an apparent stand off, with claims that the Sussexes won't return to the UK for the coronation in May unless the Royal Family apologise to them in a 'sit down meeting'.
The nation will gather together for the first King’s Christmas message since 1951 on December 25 - and he will mention Harry and his wife, despite on-going tensions.
It has been reported that the King, 74, recorded his first Christmas message as sovereign days before the programme hit screens.
He will ignore the rift with his son and focus on trying to inspire those struggling with hardship in his significant address.
"I don't believe he will waste a moment on them - and nor will there be any hidden messages of reconciliation, such as having their framed photo on his desk or including a video clip focusing on them," a source said.
"He will want to use his first 10-minute broadcast to try to galvanise and inspire a country facing numerous problems and hardships, as well as addressing the other Commonwealth nations.
"I think the world is going to see him engage his audience with a steady, uplifting and upbeat message that is also light, bright and Christmassy.
"He is wise and experienced enough to know to steer as far away from family matters as he now must also do from politics and his old hobby horses like climate change.
"I'm sure King Charles will take time to reflect on his mother's phenomenal achievements and the enormous legacy she has left."
The BBC's newly appointed director of news programmes John McAndrew expects a "particularly vast audience" when His Majesty becomes the first King to ever deliver a televised Christmas message.
Harry and Meghan reportedly want the Royal family to apologise to them before they will consider attending the King’s coronation.
The Sussexes are said to want The Firm to ‘take responsibility’ for the pain and damage they put the couple through.
The Times reported that a source close to the self-exiled royal couple want the meeting to take place before they attend King Charles’ coronation in May.
The outlet reports that the couple were particularly incensed that the Palace facilitated a warm reconciliation meeting between black charity boss Ngozi Fulani, and Lady Susan Hussey, a former lady-in-waiting after a race row.
Harry and Meghan reportedly see this meeting, where Hussey offered her ‘sincere apologies’, as a ‘double standard’ as no such efforts have been made for them.
It was also suggested that they were upset by the lack of a response from the Palace to their numerous allegations that they laid out over the six-episode documentary.
