King Charles warns 'hope of the world’ on COP28's shoulders - Tech & Science Daily podcast

King Charles III has addressed world leaders at COP28 in Dubai and said the “hope of the world” rests on the summit’s shoulders.

The King said he was present at COP21, when the landmark Paris Agreement was signed which set out the goal to keep average global temperature rises below 1.5C.

As delegates began arriving for the summit on Thursday, the World Meteorological Organisation said we are already on track for 1.4C of warming in 2023.

The King went on to say that he hopes the talks, which are taking place over the next two weeks, are a turning point for “genuine transformational action”.

Also known as a coronal mass ejection, it could interfere with the Earth’s magnetic field and as well as impacting various forms of communications, it could also spark vibrant auroras.

Scientists have found a planet that basically ‘shouldn’t exist’. Researchers, including those from Penn State University in the US, say that the planet in question appears to be too big for its sun, and therefore calls into question our understanding of how planets and solar systems form.
