King Charles' thoughtful gesture for Kate just days before Coronation

King Charles has made a thoughtful gesture on behalf of Kate Middleton just days before his historical Coronation to ensure she feels right at home on the big day.

The monarch is determined to guarantee the Princess of Wales has the support she needs this week and has invited her family along to the celebrations, the Mirror reports.

Not only are Kate's beloved parents Carole and Michael on the guest list this weekend but the King has also welcomed her sister Pippa and brother James to attend as well.

Kate and Charles are believed to share a very special bond, which has only grown since he described her as his “darling daughter-in-law” following their royal wedding in 2011.

Their relationship extends to those closest to her, especially the fellow grandparents of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

The monarch also noted how Pippa 'made such an impact' at Kate and William's wedding 13 years ago and that it was important she felt included in the celebrations again.

A source told the Daily Mail: "They are the family of our future queen, so it's right that they should be there". However, it won't be the first time that the Middletons have been invited along to a significant royal event.

Carole and Michael enjoyed the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee Party last June before paying their respects at her funeral and committal service in September.

In 2011, Charles was overcome with emotion while watching his eldest son tie the knot and gave a moving speech about the couple during a champagne reception at Buckingham Palace.

He is said to have described Kate as the daughter he never had and said: "We are lucky to have her." Since the luxurious ceremony, their bond as father and daughter-in-law has only strengthened.

Behavioural expert Judi James told the Express: "Kate and Charles do seem to have a rather special relationship that shows up visibly in public as the pair seem to single each other out for attention and empathetic signalling.

"Their body language together suggests they are tuned in to each other, using flattery and mirroring signals to show some like-minded thinking or appreciation of a joke.

"Charles always looks rather entranced by his daughter-in-law, who has really cracked the code when it comes to dealing with the notoriously difficult Windsor men.

"She was equally close to Harry before the split, and her blend of flattery combined with a degree of firmness, backed up by her competitive traits and a desire to keep the royal Firm on its tracks, seems like an ideal blend to win Charles' approval."

Despite Kate and the King's close relationship, the bond between Charles and Prince William is reported to have not always been as smooth sailing.

It was reportedly Kate herself who helped to resolve things between her husband and father-in-law by helping to organise a family portrait for Charles in 2018 for his 70th birthday.
