King Charles 'open to Harry truce after advice from religious leaders'

Spiritual advisers have reportedly encouraged King Charles to mend his strained relationship with his son Prince Harry.

The father-son bond has been under considerable strain since the Duke of Sussex relocated to the United States. Their estrangement was highlighted in May when both were in London but did not meet.

While Prince Harry briefly returned to the UK following news of the King's cancer diagnosis, he declined an offer to stay in a Royal residence. This gesture from the monarch was seen as a potential olive branch.

In contrast to Prince William, who is reportedly so angered by recent events that he allegedly considered not inviting Harry to his own future coronation, King Charles is said to be more open to reconciliation efforts.

A had taken “spiritual nourishment” and is now wanting a closer relationship with the exile - who turns 40 next month.

This source reportedly disclosed: “Faith has always been a part of Charles’s life and something he’s explored, but since becoming King it is playing a more central role.

“That reliance on faith and quiet contemplation has become a comfort and asset to him and helps him cope with the role as he adapts to being King.”

Charles has historically not been known to practise his faith in private in the same way his more evangelical mother used to - but is said to have become increasingly pious.

The King was seen out and about at church in Sandringham last month. St Magdalene Church has become a regular haunt for the monarch as he continues his recovery.

He is now aged 75 and is said to be considering the Christian act of forgiveness to enjoy his final years in a more enhanced relationship with Harry.

Their rift has also meant that Harry and Meghan Markle’s two children are being raised in the US and not often seeing their grandad.

Harry has written about his own conflicts with his father in his memoir Spare, published last January, where he called Camilla his “wicked stepmother” and “the other woman”.

The Palace has not confirmed or denied any of the details included within the Mail story.
