King Charles has officially been crowned during his lavish and historic Coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey.
Charles III was crowned along with his wife Queen Camilla as millions around the world tuned in to watch the ceremony.
At around noon the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby put St Edwards Crown on top of Charles’ head before he was anointed as king at the Abbey.

Following the event, the Abbey bells rang out and a Gun Salute was fired by The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery stationed at Horse Guards Parade, the Mirror reports.
The crown used for the historic moment was made from King Charles II in 1661 as a replacement for the original mediaeval crown that was melted in 1649.
However, it follows the original in having four crosses-pattée and four fleurs-de-lis, and two arches.
The crown is topped with an orb and a cross, symbolising the Christian world, and is made up of a solid gold frame set with rubies, amethysts, sapphires, garnet, topazes and tourmalines.
It has a velvet cap with an ermine band. St Edward’s Crown was worn by Queen Elizabeth II at the Coronation in 1953.
Soon after Camilla had her crowning moment when Queen Mary's crown was placed on her anointed head by the Archbishop.
Ahead of the Coronation minor changes and additions were made to the crown such as the inclusion of the Cullinan III, IV and V diamonds which were part of the late Queen's personal jewellery collection for many years.
Earlier, the royal couple left Buckingham Palace in the Diamond Jubilee State Coach after spending the night at Clarence House and headed along the procession route to the Abbey to be crowned.
The pair waved to the crowds as they passed by in the coach, with the route lined with thousands of wellwishers and military personnel.
The coronation ceremony will end at 1pm and the newly crowned King and Queen will begin the procession back to Buckingham Palace in the gold state coach.
Some 4,000 sailors, soldiers, aviators and other military personnel from across the UK and the Commonwealth will accompany Charles and Camilla on their return procession. There will be more than 1,000 route liners from the Army, RAF and Royal Navy.
Charles and Camilla are expected to enter Buckingham Palace through the centre arch at 1.33pm.
They will receive a salute from the military in the palace gardens at 1.45pm, and then at about 2.15pm they will be joined by members of the royal family on the palace balcony to watch the flypast.
