King Charles genius move 'punished Harry and Andrew in one fell swoop'

King Charles has "punished" Prince Andrew and Prince Harry in one go, according to one royal commentator.

Author Christopher Andersen has said that the King evicting the two Princes from their UK homes will "economise" the monarchy, reports the Daily Star.

The writer of 'The King: The Life of Charles III' also said that the monarch was "punishing" the two Princes at the same time.

A spokesperson for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle confirmed earlier this month that the couple were asked to vacate the Frogmore Cottage in the UK.

According to reports, Frogmore Cottage has been offered to Andrew, who is said to be resisting the move as he prefers his 30-room Windsor mansion - which he has lived in since 2004.

The eviction of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly began on January 11, 2023 - which was just one day after the release of Harry's memoir, Spare.

However, according to Christopher, there are more significant reasons for the Sussex' eviction. The royal commentator told Fox News: "Booting the Sussexes out of Frogmore Cottage was not merely an act of revenge for what Harry wrote in 'Spare' about Camilla, and it was not merely a cost-cutting move.

"In one fell swoop, the King managed to look as if he was economising while at the same time punishing both Harry and Andrew — a royal trifecta."

Harry and Meghan are said to be "shocked" by the King's decision, and two other royals have also been left "appalled", according to royal biographer Omid Scobie.

The co-writer of Harry and Meghan's biography, Finding Freedom, said the King's decision came after Harry released his controversial memoir Spare.

Omid claimed that the couple were told that the property was needed for "someone else", and relations between the couple and the Firm were at an "all time low".

Writing for Yahoo, he explained: "It's news, sources tell me, that has left Harry and Meghan stunned, and at least two members of the Royal Family 'appalled'."
