King Charles III's former press secretary has revealed some of his eating habits.
Tomorrow marks a big day as the new monarch will be officially crowned as King. However, the 74-year-old will likely start the day the way he always does as Julian Payne provided an insight into the King's routine.
Mr Payne used to plan the King's day and has lifted the lid on his busy schedule. The King has previously faced rumours he has has a line of eggs to choose from each morning. But Mr Payne revealed he has a healthier alternative for the first meal of the day - as Mirror Online reports.

He said: "The working day is pretty relentless. Beginning with the radio news headlines and a breakfast of seasonal fruit salad and seeds with tea.” Mr Payne also claimed the King skips lunch due to his hectic schedule.
He said: "The King doesn’t eat lunch; so, an early lesson I learnt when out on the road with him was to have a big breakfast or bring a few snack bars with you to keep you going."
Mr Payne explained His Majesty's household is run with precision by a small but dedicated team of staff, who have worked with him for decades. A typical day in the office regularly involves back-to-back 45-minute sessions on His Majesty's charity’s next project, a forthcoming tour or a discussion with Sir Clive Alderton, his principal private secretary, about matters of state.
There is a break from the daily schedule about 1pm to go outside for a walk. Mr Payne said: "The King dislikes being inside for too long and always has the windows wide open.”
The former press secretary said the first real pause in the day will be at 5pm, when the King will stop for tea with the Queen Consort, over sandwiches and a piece of fruit cake. He will then return to his desk to tackle paperwork before stopping for dinner, which is served at 8.30pm sharp.
The King will return to his desk at 10pm and Mr Payne said he will remain their until well past midnight. Mr Payne said the King's habit for late nights is also true of public engagements as his willingness to chat to lots of people means these often go on for hours on end.
An example of this is reported to have come at a James Bond premiere several years ago, where it took longer than expected for him to eventually speak to Daniel Craig as he was busy in conversation with set designers and security guards.
