There was a moment of confusion during the King's Coronation today as the King was officially anointed.
The anointing of the King is the most sacred part of the ceremony and the king was shielded by screens so that cameras would not film the moment. During the anointing, the music played was Handel's 'Zadok the Priest' which was composed ahead of the Coronation of George II in 1727, and has been performed at every coronation since.
But the music is also the inspiration for the Champions League theme, with an amended version written for the inauguration of the competition in 1992, and this led to lots of confusion on social media. Yusef said: "Is it just me or this is actually the #ChampionsLeague song being played during the 'undressing' at #KingCharles coronation in Westminster Abbey?"
