A kind stranger came to the rescue of a Leaving Cert student who had remarkable bad luck on the way to his first exam.
Now the boy's father wants to find the mystery woman who swopped in to save his son when all seemed lost, just minutes before the start of his Leaving Cert.
The incident unfolded in Cork as the young man drove himself to the exam hall to take his English Paper 1. Already anxious ahead of the exams, he was horrified when the car he was driving ran out of fuel.

He managed to coast to a patrol station in Midleton on fumes where he was able to put some fuel in the tank.
But things went from bad to worse when the young student realised he had left his cash card at home.
What happened next has been praised by hundreds of people as a Good Samaritan came to the boy's rescue and paid for his petrol.
The boys relieved father took to social media to explain what happened and praise the kind stranger.
"Wish I knew how to thank the lady in Midleton who paid for my son's petrol this morning. He was on his way to start his LeavingCert2022 and couldn't find his card to pay. There is good in our world. Thank you, stranger ....." he said.
The dad told CorkBeo that he wanted to minimise the fuss as he didn't want to distract his son, but would like to thank the lady who helped his son properly - if he can find her.
People have been commenting on the dad's social media post about the generosity of people and how kind strangers like the woman makes the world a better place.
A UCC professor shared the tweet and called it "an antidote to this morning's rain and any Leaving Cert and Junior Cert stress."
