Kim Woo-Jin Wins Third Gold In Thrilling Shoot-Off

Kim Woo-jin secured his third gold medal at the Paris Games in a nail-biting shoot-off during the men's individual final against Brady Ellison of the USA. The archery competition at Invalides witnessed an intense battle between the two exceptional athletes, with Ellison initially taking the lead by winning the opening set. Kim swiftly responded by claiming the second set, setting the stage for a closely contested match.

The momentum swung back and forth as Ellison and Kim exchanged victories in the third and fourth sets, ultimately leading to a decisive fifth set. Both archers displayed exceptional skill and precision, scoring perfect 10s with each of their three arrows, forcing the final into a one-arrow shoot-off.

In a tense moment, Kim delivered a flawless shot, hitting the center with a perfect 10. Ellison matched his rival's score but fell short by a mere three millimeters, granting Kim the dramatic victory.

With this triumph, South Korea accomplished a remarkable feat by sweeping all gold medals in archery across the five disciplines at the Games, including men's and women's individual events, men's and women's team events, and mixed team events. Kim's exceptional performance also solidified his status as the first archer to claim five Olympic gold medals.

Prior to Kim's remarkable achievement, his compatriot Lee Woo-seok secured the bronze medal, further highlighting South Korea's dominance in the sport of archery.
