Kim Kardashian worried her hair will fall out following stunning Met Gala look

Kim Kardashian admitted she is concerned that her hair may fall out in the bid to pull off her stunning look at the Met Gala on Monday.

The 41-year-old SKIMS founder loaned Marilyn Monroe's iconic dress from Ripley's Believe It Or Not! museum - which paid $4.8m (£3.9m) at an auction in November 2016 - that Monroe wore when she sang 'Happy Birthday' to then US president John F. Kennedy in 1962.

The theme of the night was "In America: An Anthology of Fashion and the Gilded Glamour" and the reality TV star certainly pulled out all the stops to be centre of attention at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The figure-hugging Jean Louis gown has more than 6,000 crystals adorned on it and Kardashian admitted to Vogue on the red carpet at the event that she lost 16 pounds in order to fit into the outfit.

It was later revealed that Kim could not zip up the dress during the marquee event and was forced to leave it open, which she covered with a white fur shawl. She completed her Marilyn Monroe look with platinum blonde hair, which took more than 10 hours for her to dye.

Younger half-sister Kylie Jenner released a YouTube vlog on her channel on Wednesday which showcased the preparations into planning the Met Gala outfit.

One clip of the video saw Kylie, who wore an off-white wedding dress finished with a white baseball cap, trialling her outfit 24 hours before the event, with Kim coming into the room for conversation in which the 24-year-old said: "I cannot believe you're really dyeing your hair."

Kylie's daughter Stormi was in the room alongside Kendall Jenner, with Kim saying to her niece: "My hair is going to be blonde, like Elsa", in which Kylie replied: "You're so bold for that. You're so bold."

Kim added: "I've been doing this for 10 hours already. I'll risk getting my hair to fall out," before she got whisked away to continue preparing her Marilyn Monroe look.

It was also the first time all the Kardashian-Jenner sisters and mother Kris Jenner were all in attendance, marking the first time Kourtney and Khloe had been invited to the show.
