Kim Kardashian has taken her interest in criminal justice reform one step further, sending fans wild with the launch of her new true crime podcast.
The 41-year-old reality star released the first two episodes of Kim Kardashian’s The System: The Case Of Kevin Keith on Spotify on Monday, two years after she signed an exclusive deal with the streaming giant.
Kim narrates the series, which looks into the case of Ohio man Kevin Keith. He was sentenced to death for committing a triple murder, before former governor Ted Strickland commuted his sentence to life without parole in 2010.
The podcast will focus on Kevin's attempts to prove his innocence after his conviction in 1994.
Kim has previously said that there was no physical evidence connecting Kevin, who is currently jailed at Marion Correctional Institution in Ohio, to the crime.
Announcing the podcast to fans, the Kardashians star took to social media to share a video of her speaking to Kevin via video call.
In a voiceover, she said: "The case of Kevin Keith is deeply twisted and incredibly heart-breaking from all sides."
A news reporter could then be heard saying: "An Ohio man has been sentenced to death."
"It sounds straightforward at first, but the deeper we go, the more the reported events there are called into question." Kim continued.
Her fans were thrilled with the announcement of the podcast, with many rushing to Twitter to share their excitement.
One wrote: "Okay this Kim Kardashian podcast is pretty interesting tho."
Another said: "Kim Kardashian’s podcast is surprisingly actually good. she should do a true crime podcast," while a third added: "Can’t lie, Kim Kardashian’s The System podcast sounds pretty good!"
In recent years, Kim has advocated for the release of prisoners widely believed to be innocent of the crimes they were convicted for.
Part of her advocacy included appealing to then-US president Donald Trump.
Kim's appeal helped her to secure the release of Alice Marie Johnson, who had been sentenced to life in prison for a non-violent drug charge.
Alice had spent 22 years behind bars before Kim was able to secure her freedom.
Keith, the focus of Kim's new podcast, has already been in prison for 28 years for a crime he claims he is innocent of.
