Kim Kardashian says she 'just might eat poop' if it made her look younger

Kim Kardashian is well known for her fashion statements and beauty routine, but it remains to be seen whether her latest claim would be one that catches on.

The reality TV star, 41, has been promoting her latest skincare line, SKKN BY Kim, and she has dropped in exactly how far she could be prepared to go to retain her youthful appearance.

The star told The New York Times: "If you told me that I literally had to eat poop every single day and I would look younger, I might. I just might."

Fans of Kim's products will no doubt be pleased to know that her new lines include only traditional beauty ingredients, such as vitamin C, shea butter and squalene - meaning no poop in sight.

The price tag is set to make a dint in your pocket should you choose to make a purchase, though, but the SKIMS founder is adamant it's completely worth it.

Explaining the expense, she continued: "It's definitely more prestige, and in order to get the types of ingredients that I would not really miss out on, it was kind of a necessity.

"I wanted to just stay true to exactly what I use, even if everyone was saying this is overwhelming."

Kim is often open about her health regime and revealed last month the mammoth efforts she went to to ensure she could squeeze into Marilyn Monroe's iconic dress for this year's Met Gala.

The donned the show-stopping crystal dress, which was on loan to her from the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! museum, to the star-studded event but admitted she had to follow a strict diet to make it fit.

Speaking on the red carpet of the event, she explained how preparations included crash dieting to lose 16lbs in three weeks.

She managed the feat by wearing a sauna suit twice daily and cutting out sugar and carbs.

While her comments caused somewhat of a backlash at the time as people criticised her for promoting a toxic crash dieting behaviour, Kim insisted she did nothing wrong.

She told NYT: "To me it was like, ‘OK, Christian Bale can do it for a movie role and that is acceptable.

"Even Renée Zellweger gained weight for a role. It's all the same to me. I wasn't saying, ‘Hey everyone, why don't you go lose this weight in a short period of time?'"
